I know it’s been awhile since I posted up some new pics. I need to get more batteries for my camera so it will have enough juice to stay on long enough to let me download them….
Sol just got over having a cold…. I felt so bad for him. Then I caught it too. Hehe. So we were both sneezing and coughing for a few days together.
Not much else. Have been working on my taxes, so brain is now melting…..

TROUBLE

I took Sol up to Jacksonville to see his grandparents this past weekend. We stayed at my in-laws. We really had a wonderful time. I took him for a quick swim and we went shopping in St. Augustine before heading home.
He was so funny at Grandma and Grandpa Drew’s house. They have a fireplace that he has been really fascinated with. Sometimes he got it into his head to go and check it out. Hehehe. He would go towards it a few "steps", stop, shake his head "No", look at me, and repeat. It was hilarious. It took ALL of my self-control to keep from laughing at him. I know he does this to test his limits. He knows what he is not supposed to do, but will try to do it anyway while he is shaking his head "No". hahahahahahahah.

Mommy’s Little Monster

Yeah…. Sol doesn’t think he can stand yet – although he is getting better at it. Today he stood and even tried to walk a step. Today he has also climbed on top of a box so he could see what was on a table. Lol. Won’t stand, but is more than happy to climb up on stuff. Hehe. I made sure to get pics of it and will post them when I get a chance to download them.
I have to say it scared the crap out of me when I saw him lol. I had heard him playing with the box (we keep it next to the table so he can’t reach the lamp cord under the table), I had thought he was just trying to squeeze around it like usual. Then he made a weird sound and I looked up. Eeeeek. lol. He was happy as a clam. Little turd…. lol.

Sol’s Upcoming FIRST Birthday

I thought it would be a good idea to start a list of things that Sol could use for his birthday. I am astonished at how fast this year went by…. I will be creating a list that will be at the top of the page, near the photo albums and will be adding things to this as his birthday comes closer. I am not going to include toys as I know CERTAIN people have absolutely no problems with finding toys for him.  
  • 18 month size clothing
  • "Big Big World" merchandise – he is really fascinated with that show. I think it is pretty new, so merchandise may not be out yet.
  • This is going to be really weird: Rosanne Barr’s new kids video. We saw a sample of it and it really made him grin.
  • Veggie Tales Silly Songs (dvd or cd) – I think the full name is something like "Silly Songs with Larry"
  • Picture frames
  • Books. We all love books.

ALMOST!!!!

Sol is almost standing on his own. We’ve made it into a game now (somehow). We will stand him up and he will giggle as he falls towards us. Hehe. A few weeks ago, he had picked up my purse strap (while holding on to my leg), stood up, then took his hand off my leg. He seemed to think that the strap was supporting him. I was pretty impressed. Couldn’t get him to try standing again until today though.
 
 
Tonight…. He is being a serious butt about going to sleep. Trask and I have been taking turns with him since 7 (it is 9:20pm now). I think that Trask has finally succeeded. Little monster. He didn’t take a nap today…. he is always like this when he skips his naps. Just thought I would share.
