30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 1
So, I have never really been the type of person to do the “30 Day Challenges,” but this one struck a chord with me this year. So I decided to give it a shot. I really do have a lot to be thankful for, even with some of the other crap that has gone on this year. Or maybe because of the crap that has gone on this year.
Day 1: Person
The person I am most thankful for (and there are a lot of people to choose from) is my husband. He has been my rock. He makes me see the truth, even when I want to ignore it. Like poking my leg at the hospital to prove to the doctor and nurses that I really am in a great deal of pain. He also makes me laugh and doesn’t judge me for my morbid sense of humor. In fact, he usually joins in on the morbid part.
He is super smart and a great teacher/tutor to our boys. He thinks up great games for them and sometimes builds amazing things out of boxes or couch cushions. He doesn’t always get my weirdness, but he loves me anyway.
